When you have a subscription you can download anything on the website at anytime! Sometimes it’s easier for me to search for items like staples through their website then through my own files. I highly suggest thinking about subscribing after you make your first 20-50 pages or first book. It is unheard of to get that kind of deal, the price will surely go up at sometime, but I will still be paying it :). It is $99 (for the Commercial Use and cheaper for personal use). My favorite thing about it is the Subscription Plan. I learned how to design digital scrapbooking items through Pixel Scrapper. They have tutorials and a gallery, and if you are interested in learning how to create actual digital scrapbooking designs they have tutorials and advice and a commons where you can even post them and get feed back. You can also buy kits there for a very reasonable price. You sign up to be a part of the community (for free) and every day you can earn 5 downloads (individual items) and I think when you first sign up you can pick a whole kit for free ( here is better information about it). Pixel Scrapper works differently then the ones I will list below. Don’t get me wrong I would love you to buy the kits I’ve made and they match up exactly with the connection pdfs with activities, but sometimes you want a different feel or you like a different style, it’s really important to explore and find what you like!ĭigital Scrapbook My absolute FAVORITE Digital Scrapbooking store isn’t even just a store, it’s so much more than that – it’s a community. Check out my Freebies page so you can start playing around. You can google Free Digital Scrapbooking kit and see what you like, or you can go to a designer you like and see if they have a freebies section… I adore Sahin designs and Just Jaimee, they have different styles but I love them both and you can find freebies there! It’s great to find a “blog train” where designers make stuff that all coordinates. There are a lot of free kits out there but they usually only last for a short period of time. Once you know how to use Photoshop elements or Photoshop you’ll need digital kits to start creating your personal designs. It will also help you to remember the joy of being connected. Which ever memory keeping method suits you, remember that your children will be so thankful for the gift of being able to remember all of the times you had together. It is easy to just put in pictures, but then adding elements is where it gets fun, but can take some time. This option will take the most time, especially if you like to make things beautiful. It may take you a few sessions to get the hang of it. There is a learning curve to Adobe Photoshop Elements and Photoshop.Read below and you will see there is a great option of using which has lots of free goods and then cheap if you want more. Digital kits are as much as $10 each or as little as $2 each depending on where you buy them and the cost. Once you buy it you don’t need to buy it again unless you want to upgrade to the full photoshop. You may find the program for as little as $30 if you have a student at home (which most parent’s do) but it could run as much as $99. This method is probably the most expensive.Below are videos and resources for you to check out how it is all used. Please note I use a PC, so I will do my best to help if you have a MAC (most professional digital scrapbookers have Macs so you are in good company if you have one). I’ve also provided you with 9 basic templates below, that you can use to create every kind of page. Below is a video describing the basics of opening Photoshop Elements and how to use a template and a kit to make your pages. Also to start off you will need to learn a couple of basics for Photoshop Elements and get some templates to get started. You can often get a deal if your child is a student or you are a teacher for only $30. I guarantee you can really do anything you need with elements. You will need to download either Photoshop Elements or get Adobe Photoshop. You can start with the other choices and then move up to this. Note that this is the hardest of the three, but in my opinion the most fun. If this describes you, or you are just a go getter, then this is definitely the right choice for you. You may love photography, or interior design, classic crafting, or you are just good with seeing how things should be organized or love photoshop. You do not have to be an artist, but if you get a great satisfaction from making something or making something beautiful, it is worth it to do this. Digital scrapbooking is great for anyone who loves creating.
